The Human Resources Business Partner I works closely with the Manager, Employee Relations and provides human resources support. This position communicates to both management and employees in the areas of employee advocacy, policies and procedures, retention and internal investigations. The Human Resources Business Partner I educates and advises management and employees with regard to employment laws, HR policies and procedures and state and federal laws. Delivers high quality decisions and counsel consistently and appropriately to management and staff to maintain a productive and positive work environment and achieve optimal performance. In addition, the position will provide conflict resolution as needed, provides analysis on specific trends related to areas of responsibility. Acts as liaison between management and employees. Acts as an advisor/confidant.
Duties
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions) to managers and employees.
Facilitates processes between employees, supervisors, and directors to settle work-related conflicts through facilitating communications, conducting Root Case Analyst (RCA), identifying current and potential problem areas, conducts detailed investigations, and makes final recommendations for action.
Assists in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results department in relation to established goals.
Acts as a member or department staff assisting in planning, organizing and controlling department activities, and assists management advising with any employee related issues.
Provide assistance and support to employee and manager's inquiries and refer to correct HR Partner department as necessary such as LOA, WC, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, etc.
Conduct investigation intake as needed and refer to investigation team if necessary for complete investigation review.
Facilitate annual performance calibration and ensure fair and equity performance assessment.
Review job descriptions and position to ensure alignment to org structure and management hierarchy.
Review and submit staffing and promotion requsitions to ensure alignment to org structure and management hierarchy.
Promote and advocate annual employee engagement survey and work in partnership with Organization Development team to ensure timely submission and follow up of Action Planning.

Required:
At least 3-5 years experience in Human Resources Generalist role and resolution of employee relations issues.
Prior knowledge and experience in employee relations and performance management, and at least two human resources discipline including employment, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee recognition.
Preferred:
Experience in HR Generalist role with employee relations and performance management.
