Medical Front Office Receptionist Part Time [United States]

Your primary job duties will include greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, checking and responding to messages, collecting patient co-pays, processing paperwork, and scheduling appointments. We are currently seeing patients via telehealth only, so the position is remote 90% of the time time.

  • Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and check them over to ensure that required fields are completed properly
  • Collect co-pays
  • Field phone calls and respond to emails
  • Complete and process Prior Authorizations
  • Communicate daily with the provider to review the day and prepare for the next day; update on all messages and refill requests; complete requested tasks from the provider in a timely manner

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum High school diploma
  • Completion of a certificate program in the medical field preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPPA requirements
  • Preferred knowledge with Practice Fusion, Ooma and HelloFax
  • 1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
  • Familiar with medical terminology
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and kindness
  • Able to learn new practices and programs quickly
  • Must be a self-starter; proficient in seeking answers to questions you don’t know by basic research; initiating contact with other providers to help answer your questions and when all else fails, to not be afraid to ask for help

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
